Webinar: Peace Education Workshop

A webinar on peace education and approaching power in peace work.

Join peace educator and founder of The Peace Collective Mansi Panjwani for an interactive workshop on peace education and approaching power in peace work with the Scottish Peace Platform.

Power shapes every effort to build peace — from whose voices are heard, to who makes decisions, to whose experiences count. Yet power is rarely examined openly in peace work.

This interactive workshop offers a space to reflect on how power operates in our work and how we can move toward forms of power that enable collaboration, agency, and collective change. Drawing on widely used frameworks in feminist leadership and peace education, the session will introduce a simple but powerful lens for understanding power. Through guided reflection and dialogue, participants will have the opportunity to examine how power shows up in their own work and consider how shifts in power can create more inclusive and empowering approaches to peacebuilding.

This is a participatory workshop, not a lecture. The session will include:

  • short conceptual inputs
  • individual reflection
  • small-group dialogue
  • shared learning across participants

Mansi is a peace educator, founder of The Peace Collective, and alumna of the Beyond Borders Scotland ‘Women in Conflict 1325 Fellowship’. This is the first in ongoing webinars highlighting the expertise of the Fellowship alumna.

This workshop is designed specially for Scottish Peace Platform members, especially working as practitioners or educators. Non-members are also welcome to attend. It will be facilitated by the Scottish Peace Platform team.
