The SPP is supported and facilitated by a Secretariat consisting of Beyond Borders Scotland (BBS), a non-partisan organisation for global dialogue and peacebuilding, in partnership with peace and conflict resolution experts from the University of Edinburgh Law School (ELS). The Secretariat provides technical support to the SPP and expert advice on its potential future development to both the Advisory Board and Scottish Government.
The Secretariat does not endorse, police, comment, or advise on the objectives, policies, programmes and activities of specific members of the SPP. All members are required to agree to a Code of Conduct.
Mark Muller Stuart BBS Director of the Scottish Peace Platform. He is the Founder and Executive Director of Beyond Borders Scotland and acts as the Scottish Peace Programme Director. He led the SPP during its design and development through its inception phase. He currently advises on the SPP’s ongoing development and international relations.
Tim Epple is the Senior Advisor to the SPP from the University of Edinburgh Law School. He provides strategic advice and support to the Platform and Advisory Board. He was the Managing Director of PeaceRep at the University of Edinburgh Law School.
Shona McCallum is the Project Coordinator of the SPP from Beyond Borders Scotland. Seconded by BBS, Shona runs the day-to-day operations of the SPP, liaising with its members, organising, disseminating and publicising its programmes of events, as well as updating the website and coordinating the meetings of the SPP Advisory Board.
